Question 1: What is the Pythagorean Theorem? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples. (10 Marks)

The Pythagorean Theorem is a theory that was created and explained by the great mathmatician Pythagoras. Once you Learn it the theory is really quite simple. The Theory is:
"a" squared + "b" squared = "c" squared. You can examine how to solve for the hypotenuse (which is always c) by viewing the bubbleshare below:
place the "a", "b", and "c" in the equation with the appropriate numbers that correspond to the numbers given to you in the diagram.

Question 2: How do you find the surface area of a right rectangular prism? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.(10 Marks)

A Rectangular Prism is a Polyhedron. That means that it is a 3 dimensional shape and the different faces of it are polygons put together. Here are some examples of Rectangular Prisms:

To find the surface area of a right rectangular Prism, you must basically find the surface area of the different sides and then add them all together. The Formula for doing this is: sa=2(lxw)+2(lxd)+2(wxd). Or you could say: suface area = 2(length x width) + 2(length x depth) + 2(width x depth). Question 3: How do you find the surface area of a right cylinder? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples. (10 Marks)
A right cylinder is simply a tube with two circle ends on it. Examples can be see underneath::

Qestion 4: What is a polygon and how do we classify one? (10 Marks)

A polygon is an enclosed shape that has no bends, only straight lines. A Regular polygon is a polygon that has all the same angles and lengths. An irregular polygon would be a polygon that has as little as one length or angle not the same as all the others.
