Question 1: What is a Pythagorean Theorem? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

Pythaoream Theorem was a Greek mathematician. The Pytheoream Theoem is the side oppsite theright angle is called the Hypotenus and is always labelled 'c'. The other 2 sides are labelled 'a' for the Altitude and 'b' for the Base.
formula for solving pythaoream Theorem

a=48, b=14, c=c
a2 + b2 = c2
482 + 142 = c2
2304 + 164 = c2
√2500 = √c2
50m = c

a2 + b2 = c2
52 + b2 = 6.2522
25 + b2 = 39.0625
b2 = 39.0625 – 25
√b2 = √14.0625
b = 3.75

Question 2: How do you find the surface area of a right rectangular prism? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

A right rectangular prism has 2 ends and 4 sides. Opposite sides that have the same area. The suface area is the sum of the area of all 6 sides. The formula of a right rectangilar prism is SA= 2(l x h)+ 2(h x w)+ 2(l x w)
L= 5, H= 4, W=3 L= lengh, H= height, W= width and SA= Suface Area
ex #1: SA= 2(l x h)+ 2(h x w)+ 2(l x w)
SA= 2(5 x 4)+ 2(4 x 3)+ 2(5 x 3)
SA= 2(20)+ 2(12)+ 2(15)
SA= 40 + 24+ 30
SA= 94 cm2

L= 15, H=8, W=5
ex #2: SA= 2(l x h)+ 2(h xw)+ 2(l x w)
SA= 2(15 x 8)+ 2(8 x 5)+ 2(15 x 5)
SA= 2(120)+ 2(40)+ 2(75)
SA= 240 + 80 + 150
SA= 470 cm2

Question 3: How do you find the surface area of a right cylinder? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.
Upright erect from a base; having an upright axis; not oblique; as, right ascension; a right pyramid or cone.

First the formula is: SA= 2(πr2+π rh

SA= 2(3.14)52 + (3.14)(5)(12)
SA= 6.28(25) + (6.28)(60)
SA= 157 + 376.8
SA= 533.3m2

Question 4: What is a polygon and how do we classify one?

A regular polygon is a closed figure with three or more sides where all sides are congruent and all interior angles are congruent for example like a trangle, pentagon, hexagon, Octagon and a irregular polygon is the oppsite of a regular poygon.
