Question 1: What is the Pythagorean Theorem? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

The Pythagorean Theorem was discovered by a Greek mathematician, Pythagoras. The Pythagorean Theorem is the altitude of a right triangle squared plus the base of the right triangle squared equals the hypotenuse of the triangle squared.

For example. a=12, b=6, c=?... 12 x 12= 144, 6 x 6= 36, c=?

144 + 36=180... 180(square route)= 13.42

The formula is :

Question 2: How do you find the surface area of a right rectangular prism?

To get the surface area, use the formula: SA=2(lw)+2(lh)+2(wh)

The formula for getting the volume is V= l*w*h

Example of surface area:
A Rectangular Prism has a lenth of 15m a width of 12m and height of 25m. What is the surface area?

Question 3: How do you find the surface area of a right cylinder? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

Question 4: What is a polygon and how do we classify one?
